How To Comply with Amazon FTC Regulations
As of October 1, 2019. all Amazon Affiliates must provide a legally compliant disclosure of the fact that they profit from legitimate purchases via associated program links. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires this transparency, anytime you share an affiliate link or product review. Amazon offers 3 examples of notification: “(paid link)”, “#ad” or “#CommissionsEarned”. One way to comply is to edit the required tag into the end of the Amazon ad script. This places the visual with the ad itself, instead of locating it elsewhere. In addition, the following disclosure statement must appear conspicuously on your site, “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.” This statement appears on our home page. For ease of use and visual appeal, Amazon ads appearing on this site display the simplified #ad tag.
Things You'll Need:
Administrative access to edit ad script on your site or blog.

1. Place the tag below the Amazon link, by adding <br />#ad to the end of the Java script.

2. Place the tag beside the Amazon link, by adding only #ad to the end of the Java script.
